About
Conceptualised and executed a series of fashion images that accompany Derek Jarman’s final piece of work, an audiovisual titled Blue (1993). an unmodified, 75 min screen featuring a single frame of Yves Klein’s “International Klein Blue”.
The script which reads as a haunting union of both Jarman’s poetry as well as excerpts from his hospital diaries is used as a direct reference point for this series of images. From churches signified through the use of three roman pedestals to hand painted fabrics depicting a moonlight setting, this piece of work explores a possible outcome had the audiovisual by Derek Jarman been completed with imagery.
